Objective
- This document is to help enable the local channel while installing the IGA-15.
Details
- The Local Channel is used when the Remote Channel is not deployed or the Remote Channel repository (https://packages.broadcom.com/artifactory/api/conda/iga) is unreachable from the server.
- The Local Channel allows administrators to manage and configure the system locally.
Prerequisites
Before enabling the Local Channel, ensure the following:
- Symantec IGA 15 Express installation is completed
- Access to the IGA Suite Local Channel package
- SSH access to the IGA server using the igx user
- Download the Mogrify utility from the Broadcom Support Site.

- Download the IGA Suite local channel package (iga-suite-<version>-localchan.tar.gz) on your deployment machine from the support site.
- Copy the iga-suite-localchan-15.0.0-23-fixpack3-LATEST.tar.gz in an install folder on the server.
Enable Local Channel from IGA Express UI
- Open the IGA 15 Express UI after the installation is complete.
- On the top right side of the screen, click the Gear (Settings) icon.
- Check the use Local Channel
- This enables the system to use local packages instead of the remote repository.
- Enable the Local Channel option checkbox.
Run Local Channel Setup Command
- Run the following command to install the Local Channel package:
- [igx@localhost iga_install]$setup_localchaniga-suite-localchan-15.0.0-23-fixpack3-LATEST. tar.gz
Check the updates and version of the software.
If you see the version then the local channel is enabled.
